In the year of the pestilence 2020, the project/band hybrid Cassette 2020 developed.
Laurent Barnaud aka Fandor , songwriter, singer and guitarist from Bordeaux ,
the producer and DJ Bernd Kuchinke , his musical sidekick Alexey
Wysh both from Kassel/Germany and the Berlin producer and operator of three studios (Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf) Matthias Rewig aka Deerway.
From the beginning it was clear that besides the digital release there would also be a release on cassette.
We are not snobbish, we celebrate the cassette format.
Musically we love synthpop, house, trip hop, dark disco, dub techno, indie pop, chansons, electronic tracks with a shimmering pop sound.
Electronic tracks with great pop gestures , the grandiose Eighties concept , for this century.
